The closure of the parking facility is in place the weekend before Christmas and also the Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday of the 25th December 2024. The staff cars are being parked on the truck stop hard standing, allowing space for more customers within the main Tesco Copdock, Ipswich car park.

The reopening on Thursday 25th December 2024 marks the end of a challenging period for drivers who have had to navigate limited parking options during the busy holiday season.

While this is a free facility, it can be withdrawn, causing routing and efficiency issues for drivers needing rest and overnight parking in and around the Ipswich area.
