Your Essential Stop for Driver Comfort and Convenience

Welcome to Felixstowe Truck Stop

Discover a haven for drivers where comfort meets convenience. Our facilities are designed to provide you with everything you need for a restful break, ensuring you’re ready for the road ahead.

We have installed a self-use blood pressure monitor at Felixstowe Truck Stop. It is a simple, clearly marked cabinet on the wall that anyone can use. Drivers, visitors, contractors and our own staff.

How It Works

You open the door, take out the monitor, put the cuff on your arm and press the single button. That is it. The reading appears on the screen in seconds.

Next to the cabinet is a QR code. Scan it and it takes you to the NHS blood pressure checker. You enter the two numbers and it shows you where you sit using a clear traffic light system. Green, amber or red. The NHS site lets you choose whether the reading was taken professionally or as a self-test, exactly the same as using a monitor at home.

What It Is

This is not about medical responsibility or diagnosis. It is a help-yourself check. No risk, no recording of data, no obligation.

What we hope it does is get people checking their blood pressure, talking about it, comparing results, maybe even having a bit of fun trying to prove they are “low”. More importantly, it starts conversations. And conversations lead to awareness.

Why It Matters

But this is not just a box on the wall. The point is that the box is there at all. Someone thought about the people who walk through the door every day. Lorry drivers who often feel ignored, rushed or treated as an inconvenience.

Small, visible things like free water, a conversation at the counter, or a blood pressure monitor that anyone can use quietly and privately all add up. They tell people that they matter. That someone gives a damn.

The truth is this costs under a hundred pounds. Any truck stop, transport yard, warehouse, tea room or workplace with regular visitors could do the same. Van drivers, taxi drivers, shift workers, office staff.

This is not a grand welfare scheme or a press stunt. It is a simple, practical thing that says “we see you”. If more places did small things like this, driver welfare would not feel like a slogan. It would feel real.

Small things matter.

At Felixstowe Truck Stop, we believe in the power of small gestures to make a big difference. Whether it’s a warm meal, a hot shower, or a secure parking spot, we are here to support your journey.
